Mobile Mechanic (Owner Operator)

We are currently accepting applications to contract an experienced owner operated mobile mechanic.

Under the direction of the service manager, the contracted mobile mechanic will provide prompt quality and professional mobile repair service to our off-site customers on an on-going and regular basis for trucks, trailers, forklifts, and other heavy equipment.

The ideal contractor is a self-employed entrepreneur who recognizes the potential of this business opportunity. Through alliance with Harbour International Trucks, you will grow your trade by working with a trusted and valued product lines with constant support and leadership from a strong dealership network.

Harbour International Trucks will source the mobile business, provide the administrative support associated with customer transactions and provide specific product training where necessary.

The Mobile Mechanic is responsible for providing their own mobile truck and tooling.

Qualifications:

  • Qualified commercial truck mechanic - Red seal commercial truck & transport technician certificate
  • Minimum of 3-5 years experience repairing medium/heavy duty trucks is required
  • Previous mobile mechanic experience (truck and trailer breakdown, repair, maintenance) is an asset
  • Provide your own tools and transportation
  • Valid class 3 driver's license
  • Registered and in good standing with Worksafe BC (annual clearance letter required)
  • Hold required insurance coverage
  • Previous International® and/or Cummins experience & training is an asset
  • High degree of product and technical knowledge with strong diagnostics capabilities
  • Organized & self motivated with the ability to work unsupervised
  • Excellent customer relations skills with a strong sense of commitment to the customer
  • Good communication skills both written and verbal
  • A good understanding of OEM warranty requirements and processes
  • Have the ability to deal with large volumes of work and stressful situations
  • Good computer skills
  • CVI license is an asset

Parts Customer Service Representative

We are currently accepting resumes for a full time parts customer service representative & delivery driver.

Reporting to the parts manager, the customer service representative will drive a company provided a vehicle on a daily basis to service our parts customers and promote our products.

This is an entry level position suitable for an individual who has excellent customer service skills with aspirations to pursue a career in sales.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Safe and responsible driving of a company vehicle
  • Positively representing the company in the community and customer's place of business
  • Communicate, educate and sell customers on our product
  • Perform daily delivery requests throughout Langley and area
  • Efficiently and accurately taking orders and delivering orders
  • Provide superior customer service
  • Ability to work well independently and with others

Qualifications

Service Writer

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Provide prompt, courteous, and accurate service to customers
  • Book service appointments
  • Open and close work orders within the required time frame
  • Handle incoming phone calls in a professional manner
  • Deal with customer issues, requests, questions, and complaints in a timely manner
  • Work closely with the service manager and service team leads for smooth operations of the shop
  • Accurately record customers' truck problems and repair requests
  • Keep customers updated as needed regarding ongoing repairs
  • Gain knowledge of warranty policies & practices
  • Perform other administrative tasks as required
  • Participate in any technical training or development training that is made available

Qualifications

  • Previous heavy duty or auto service writer experience is required
  • Previous CDK/ADP experience is an asset
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Proficient computer skills
  • Ability to work unsupervised
  • Working knowledge of heavy truck repairs is an asset
  • Must be organized & self motivated with strong written and verbal communication skills

Truck Lot Attendant

We are currently accepting applications for a truck lot attendant. This is a full -time permanent position working a Monday-Friday day shift.

This position provides support for the sales department in the preparation and movement of trucks within the city and dealership lot.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Safely driving heavy/medium trucks and school buses to their required destination in the city and within the dealership lot
  • Fueling trucks
  • Ensure trucks are booked in at their required location
  • Follow direction from the sales department and communicate with departments to ensure accuracy and efficiency
  • Cleaning and maintaining the dealership yard and trucks/buses as required
  • General labor tasks as required

Qualifications

  • Minimum class 3 license is required with clean & recent drivers' abstract (within last 30 days)
  • Experience driving medium & heavy trucks
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions
  • Ability to multi-task

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Answer, screen and forward incoming calls using a multi-line switchboard
  • Direct callers or visitors to the appropriate person or department
  • Ensure reception areas is tidy and presentable
  • Provide basic and accurate information in person and via phone/email
  • Accurately record messages and relay them to the appropriate person
